Shamus already has dibs on Wash, so maybe I’d have to be the doctor brother guy:
You scored as Serenity (Firefly). You like to live your own way and don’t enjoy when anyone but a friend tries to tell you should do different. Now if only the Reavers would quit trying to skin you. |

I guess this is a hint that I really should watch the series.
It’s worth the time. It’s not as consistently good as Galactica, but when it’s on it’s quite good.
My problem really boils down to the fact that I have very little free time – and I want to spend what time I have with my wife and daughter (both of whom are going to be uninterested in Firefly for pretty much the same reason, despite the order of magnitude difference in their ages).
We don’t have cable TV, and Netflix isn’t instant gratification enough if there’s a movie we want to watch – so I settle for the comparatively limited selection at Hollywood Video with their MVP program. Plus when we do rent its always a family-concensus pick, of course.
I was able to get into Galactica, admittedly late in Season 2, thanks to BitTorrent. That way I could watch episodes on the bus, etc. I guess I could start downloading Firefly the same way… there are only a dozen episodes, right?
14, and no more forthcoming.
And when I say ‘worth the time’, I mean as compared with other scifi tv programs, though certainly not the family.
If the choice is catching up on Galactica or Firefly, go with Galactica.
And there’s always Planetes.
You’ve inspired me – I’ll try to work my way through Firefly via BT. Now, if I can just find some active seeds open!
